Cervical Cancer

In 2015, 3,578 inpatient discharges and deaths were related to the malignant neoplasm of cervix uteri, commonly known as cervical cancer, which accounted for 1.8% of hospitalization due to all types of cancers.



In 2015, 169 persons died from cervical cancer, accounting for 1.2% of all cancer deaths. The crude death rate for female was 4.3 per 100,000 female population.



In the years between 1979 and 2015, there was a general decreasing trend in age-standardized death rate due to cervical cancer.



In 2015, the age-specific death rate due to cervical cancer gradually increased with age, peaking at 85 years and above.
